World of Warcraft Item Upgrader
The item upgrader is a device players can use to improve the stats of weapons and armor. It requires Power Dices as well as the equipment required to complete the upgrade.

Recyclable Items

These items do not increase the number or the reloading time of weapons and can only be used with upgraded versions of the item.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrades could block visual effects, such as the enchantment glints. If you want to disable these overlays, you can do so in the Item Upgrader CORE client config under decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays. Finally, it's important to remember that recycling should be a last resort. Rerolling
Rerolling allows players to alter the stats of a ring, weapon, or armor. This is accomplished by pressing the green button with circular arrows that circle the item. The new stats will replace ones that were already present on the item, so it is not possible to have multiple upgrades on one item. Rerolling does not change benefits.
Upgrade items, unlike enchantments, are consumed once they've been used to roll a item. It takes a certain amount of Valorstones and crests to increase the level of an upgrade item. This cost increases as the level of the item increases and is more expensive for higher level items.
While rerolling an item does not alter sockets, ED rolls or resistances, it can increase the damage of some stats. Upgrade items can be upgraded the same as normal weapons. Their upgrade paths are based off of a base item’s stats. However these upgrades can be rerolled to produce more powerful outcomes.
A sword, for example, can be upgraded into the halberd with an upgrader that boosts the damage of certain stats. This will result in greater attack speed and increased damage of all abilities of the item, including those that do not use physical attacks. The upgrade will not alter the damage base of the sword.

Sets

While I'm not sure it's a good idea to allow upgrades on certain items is an ideal idea since it could trivialize the game but it could be a great option for those with unique items. For instance an Hwanins Bill might not become OP if upgraded, but it might be more suitable for early hell, and before high runewords are obtained.
Another benefit of the upgrade system is rerolling. This allows you to change an item to a new one with a higher base stat and a different bonus. A helmet can be rerolled into an armour or shield, and a guard into the form of a cloak. It's important to note that rerolling an item won't increase the chances of obtaining a BIS piece however it can reduce the amount of resources you waste on upgrades.
